The Australian Twins Plus festival is held during Multiple Birth Awareness week every couple of years. It is hosted in a different Australian city each time.

Newsflash: The 3rd Australian Twins Plus Festival is scheduled for Melbourne 18th March 2012. Tickets are on sale now. Come along for a fun day with 1000s of twins, multiples and their families.

The 2nd Australian Twins Plus Festival was held in Taronga Zoo in Sydney on the 14th March 2009. About 1,400 twins, multiples and their families attended.

The 1st Australian Twins Plus Festival was held in Canberra 10th - 12th March 2006. Approximately 1,500 people attended.

The Australian Twins Plus Picnic was held on 25th March 2001. It was held in Melbourne in the grounds surrounding Government House.

Sri Lanka Twins Day

Sri Lanka Twins Day Festival - Colombo, Sri Lanka

Hosted by the Sri Lanka Twins Cultural and Development Center. The 2006 festival is scheduled for 23rd August and there are plans to hold a Twins World Congress in conjunction with the festival. This organisation was founded by Sri Lankan identical twins Upuli and Chamali Gamage. No official site is currently available.

Beijing Twins Festival - Beijing, China

First held in 2004, the Beijing Twins Festival brought together more than 500 pairs of twins from across the world who took part in a four-day cultural event. The Beijing Twins Cultural Festival is a highlight of the city's National Day celebrations. This festival is expected to continue as an annual event but no official site is currently available.

The Philippines - Manila

The Festival of Twins in Manila was first held in February 2004 (and is supported by Pro-life Philippines). Natalie Palanca, grandmother of twin girls, is the driving force behind this festival. She has also established the local Association of Twins and Multiple Births (ATMB) to help families with multiple birth children. The festival gathers approximately 250 pairs of twins and multiples. No official site is currently available.

*The* world's largest annual gathering of twins!	Twinsburg Twins Days - Twinsburg, Ohio USA This festival started in 1976 with only 36 sets of twins but has grown to be the world's largest annual gathering of twins with approximately 3,000 sets attending each year. A huge, fun-filled twin weekend - attracting twins, multiples and their families from all over the world, many returning year after year. It is held on the first full weekend of August each year (that's 5th-7th August for 2011) in the city of Twinsburg, Ohio - which is about 30 miles south of Cleveland. The town of Twinsburg was named after identical twin brothers, Moses and Aaron Wilco, who settled there in 1819. There is also an unofficial Twinsburg site with info and photos from past events (and here's another twin site with lots of twinsday photos).

	The International Twins Association has a twin convention/gathering on the Labor Day long weekend held in a different U.S. city each year. The 2011 event will be held September 2nd-5th in Branson, Missouri. [In USA Labor Day is held on the 1st Monday of September.]

	The Triplet Connection Convention - A themed annual gathering of triplets and higher-order multiples and their families organized by The Triplet Connection. The 2011 convention will be held 29th - 31st July in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.

	Coney Island Twins and Multiple Families Day - Started in 2002 by Debbie and Liza Ganz (identical twin owners of the TwinsWorld.com website) this fun-filled, family day at famous Coney Island is held in July each year. Also by the Ganz twins from Twins World this event gathers about 500 pairs of adult twins for a charity event/twins party in New York city. Click here for pics from 2002 event. Los Angeles Twins Get-Together - Also run by the Ganz twins from Twins World. An annual informal adult twins and multiples get-together in Los Angeles, California. Thirty-eight sets of twins sailed aboard the Carnival Victory for a luxury 7-day Western Caribbean cruise Twins Cruise II - 2007 The 2nd Twins Cruise sailed from Miami on 27th January 2007. Montreal Comedy Festival	Just for Laughs - Montreal, Canada The Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival includes an annual twins parade. In the 2010 parade 500 sets of twins participated. (This site is available in English and French.)

	First held in 1995 this Mexican Twins Festival was the largest twins festival in all of Latin America. The 2011 festival will be held 21st to 23rd July in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Puerto Rico Twins Gathering The Asociación Puertorriqueña de Nacimientos Múltiples (Puerto Rican Association of Multiple Births) held its first gathering of twins in January 2001. Hundreds of twins and their families attended. The festival was last held in 2003. No official site is currently available for this festival.

	French Twins Day - Pleucadeuc, Brittany France Started in 1994, by Alain Launay (father of twins), the French Twins Day is held on 15th August each year in Pleucadeuc. The festival gathers together approximately 1000 sets of twins and multiples from around the world each year. This site is currently available only in French. CA Twins meeting	CAtwins twins meeting - Berlin, Germany Started in 2003 this annual twin meeting now gathers together hundreds of twins in Germany for a fun day out. Organised by twin brothers Christian and Andreas Bergel - the CA Twins meeting is usually held in August each year. For 2011 it will be held on Saturday 3rd September. Twins Festival in Poland	Twins Festival in Poland - Szczecin, Poland Started in 1997 this annual festival is held in August/September in Szczecin, Poland. The event is organised by Marek Sztark (father of twins Alicja and Marysia) and about 500 sets of twins and multiples attend. The festival includes a barbecue, bonfire, twin talent contest, group photos, research opportunities, activities for children and much more. Sadly the event was postponed in 2008 but hopes to return again in the future in a new location. This website is currently available only in Polish. Click for pics from the 2006 event. 	Carrickmacross Lions Club - Twin(s) + Parade - Carrickmacross, Ireland First held in 2010 the Carrickmacross Lions Club hold a Twin(s) + Parade as part of the Carrickmacross Festival Weekend. The first year there were 231 sets of twins in the parade which was an Irish record for the largest gathering of twins in the same place at the same time. In 2011 they surpassed this figure and set a new record with 252 sets of multiples taking part as well as raising €10,000 for charity.

Africa

	Nigerian Twins Festival - First held in 2009 the Naija Twins festival is organised by twin brothers, Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye. It is widely acknowledged that Nigeria (and specifically the Yoruba people of western Nigeria) has the highest twinning rate in the world.
Ghana Twins Festival	Ghana Twins Festival - Twin sisters Zeena & Maya Abou-Jaoude founded the Ghana Twins Foundation in 1999 and held the first annual Ghana Twins Festival in 2003.
